Dan Alexander
Renton RFA |
Lieutenant with Renton, hired in 2002. Been with our Peer Support team since it started in 2013. Currently the team coordinator. I have a wife and two kids, I help coach junior sports, am active in my church, and have a heart to help my brother and sister firefighters when needed to help them remain emotionally healthy in this job. It is important for them, their family, and their ability to enjoy this job despite some of the not so pleasant aspects.

My name is Darron Erickson. I am married to my wife, Elizabeth, for 11 years and have two daughters – Lael (9) and Courtney (26). I started in the Fire Service as a volunteer/resident at Fire District 20 and was hired in 1998 by Fire District 40. I currently work for Renton Regional Fire Authority, as Renton and District 40 merged locals in 2008. I am honored to be part of your/our support team, and I am always available - if/when needed.

Erik Hammes
Renton RFA |
I was hired in 1998 with Renton Fire after being a resident FF with Federal Way Fire starting at age 19. I have a 20 year old daughter who lives in Bellingham right now working full-time and going to school. I currently live in the Fairwood area of Renton with my girlfriend and her 2 boys. In our department, getting on the peer support team was by a vote of our members, and I was honored to be selected. The training has been great. I’m very happy this resource for our members, no matter what department we are with, is available and becoming an embedded part of our culture of taking care of each other.

Chris Krystofiak
Renton RFA |
Hey guys, my name is Chris. I have been with the Renton RFA since 2005. The close knit relationships we build, the station we live out of, the calls we see, and the time we spend away from our families all plays into who we are as a person. I am married, have two boys in middle school, and few dogs and cats at home. We love getting outside, taking day trips around the area, and sometimes letting my boys beat me at video games. I have been with peer support since Renton started our program and would be happy to talk to anyone who needs someone to talk with. Call anytime.

I have been with Renton Fire 32 years- currently assigned as driver at station 17. I believe in the peer support mission and think it is one of the best changes I have seen in the fire service. I enjoy my family- two adult children and a son in law and I like working out and sports activities.
