Hi there, I’m Myia Bloomfield, I live in Fall City and have been with the Fire Service since September 2018. I’m honored to be part of our Peer Support team and am passionate in helping any way I can. Prior to the Fire Service, I have done a lot of international travel, and gained valuable life experience living and working in The Netherlands, Canada, and Australia.
In my spare time, I’m active outdoors and in the gym, love to read, cook healthy meals, and spend time with my friends and family. I’m able to just listen and be your sounding board if that’s what you need; or, connect you with some helpful resources. Either way, let’s get the ball rolling together. Please reach out to me anytime. |
I currently live in Maple Valley with my amazing wife Amanda, where we are raising our two kids, Aileah (9) and Kyron (4). I’ve been with Eastside Fire & Rescue since 2013, and I currently work on a truck. My wife and I like to travel with the family when we can. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with friends, exploring the outdoors with the kids and our dog, and working on projects around the house. I am humbled to be a part of the peer support team, and I’m always available to talk.

My name is Kyle Eads, I was born and raised in Puyallup. In my previous life I restored classic Mustangs for ten years, then accepted a firefighting position for a department down in Atlanta. After several years down South my family and I came home by accepting a job with Eastside. I believe the best part of this job are the unique relationships we form with one another. The opportunity to serve our fire family is a tremendous honor and a responsibility I do not take lightly.
Outside of work I am a father of two. I have an eight year old daughter and three year old son who keep my wife and I extremely busy and fulfilled. Their activities have become our hobbies, however for a bit of self care here and there I play golf, camp and spend time with our dog. |
I have over 28 years of experience in the fire service. Currently a Battalion Chief, I have served at every rank and spent over 22 years as a member of the Union Executive Board, most of that time as the President. I am one of the founding members of the Eastside Fire Peer Support Team. I have been involved with the Firefighter Cancer Support Network – Washington for a number of years and currently I am the Director of Training and Education.
I have been married to my wife, Jill, for 30 years. I enjoy being outside, spending time with family and our chocolate lab, Porter. I genuinely care about the health and well-being of all fire service personnel. A health work-life balance is of utmost importance. Call me anytime for any reason. |
Berlin Maza, in the fire service for over ten years. I enjoy working out, running with the dogs, hanging with the family, and playing golf during any free time I have.
My M.O. is self-care, and ensuring everyone we work with is mentally and physically well is a goal I strive for each and every day. I believe in building relationships inside and outside the organizations we work for. |
My name is Cody Ramstad and I have been on Eastside Fire’s PST for a little over ten years. I live in Maple Valley with my wife and two boys where we enjoy country living at is finest. We have a small farm that we pour ourselves into daily and I enjoy many outdoor activities like hiking, golf, & carpentry among others.
I got involved with peer support because I believe it is one of the most important functions we can serve in the Fire Service for our brothers and sisters who may be in need. It is my belief that anyone of us can heal from a psychological injury given the right support through the process. I am here to talk so please reach out. |
Hi my name is Kevin Scott I started with Eastside Fire & Rescue in 2013 as a volunteer FF/EMT. In 2015 I was hired full time as a fire mechanic for Eastside and am currently the Union day shift rep. I live between Renton and Issaquah with my lovely wife whom I married in 1999 and my daughter (2006) and son (2010).
In my spare time I enjoy coaching my kids basketball and baseball teams, old Ford cars, projects around the house and love my Seattle Mariners. I was asked to be a part of the Peer Support team because I’m easily approachable and my peers feel that I’m someone they can talk to. If you ever need someone to chat with please feel free to reach out. |
38yrs old, been in the fire service for 13yrs, 8yrs as a professional firefighter. Married to an amazing woman who challenges me to be better on the daily. Father of two young boys who also challenge me, in different ways, to be better. I enjoy the time I am blessed to spend with my family and friends, my job and getting as much fresh air as possible. My two favorite hobbies include surfing and snowboarding.
As far as Peer Support, I am proud of how far the fire service has come and feel blessed to have the opportunity to help my fire brothers/sisters. Please give me a call so I can listen, thank you. Good Things & God Bless |
Hello all, I’m Jeff Storey. I started in the Fire Service in “89” as a volunteer with Maple Valley. Hired full time in “96” with the City of Issaquah, now Eastside Fire & Rescue. I married my HS Sweetheart and we have been together for 35+ years. We have 3 girls and 4 grandkids. My hobbies include fishing, hunting, golfing, riding my Harley, and playing sports.
Being a FF, is in my opinion the best job ever. It also has its challenges. I’m here to listen 24-7-365. Thanks for what you all do. |
Hey Everyone, I’m Cody Turcotte, and live in Fall City with my wife, Vanessa, and English Bulldog, Stella. I love spending time with people, and taking advantage of where we live by hiking, mountain biking, snowboarding, rock climbing, and playing pickle ball.
I’ve been in the fire service for over 10-years, currently serve as our Union’s Health & Safety chair, and am grateful to see the fire service investing so much into our mental health. Please feel free to reach out to me any time you want to chat, or meet up over coffee. I'm here to listen, and help connect you, your peers or family with the appropriate resources. |
I’m a lifelong resident of the Snoqualmie Valley. I was hired by Eastside in 2003 and served as a Union rep for ten years before joining the peer support team in 2019. I am a husband, father and uncle. I enjoy time with family/friends and the outdoors.
I’m grateful to see the fire service improving awareness on the mental health front. I believe the people working for the Fire Department are it’s most valuable asset and I’m committed to helping members the best I can. Contact me anytime. |
I was hired by Eastside Fire and Rescue in 2003. Prior to that, I volunteered in Duvall for 5 years. It took me a few years to realize I wanted to pursue a career in the Fire service. I have been a member of the PEER support team for about 10 years. I am also a current member of the Tech Rescue and Wildland team.
I have 3 kids and in 2018 married my girlfriend from High school. We now are a blended family with 6 total kids! My wife and I travel to Cabo as much as we can and in the summer we spend time water skiing, hanging out with friends and driving our kids to all their activities! I enjoy being a part of the peer support team. One thing over the years I have learned is that just checking in on others or letting them know we are here for them will make a difference. |
